Shadau Castle And It's Park

It was beautiful afternoon in Berner Town. We just took full advantage of it. We went to Thun town took for a walk and had a fresh air. We parked our car nearby the Shadau Castle in Gwat Hallenbad parking area. Perfect amazing views of Shadau castle. This is one of our favorite places, romantic, beautiful scenic views and wonderful place to bond with family. If we do not have any planned, we just drove our car and went to this beautiful place.

We had delightful afternoon and walked for about 10 minutes from Gwat to Schadau Park after strolling in Schadau Park we took a walked to Thun Town for about 10 minutes again.

Schadau is an English style park castle located on the south bank Aare River, built 1849 and 1854 by banker Denis de Rougement and features both Romantic and New Gothic styles. Has a restaurant where people can have food highest quality and ideal for the family who want to have refreshment during the day.

Schongiland Park

We had fun last Easter Sunday at the afternoon. We had great time visiting this amusement park in Central Switzerland. We visited Schongiland Park. Cedie my 17 months old baby enjoyed the bob and bike tracks. Look at the photos below I have taken during our enjoyment in this adventure land park.

Schongiland Park a little park located in Schongau village. It is a fun park for children, a park is ideal for family and children for having fun in spring to fall season. Children rides, bob and bike track the bouncy cushions, the salto trampoline or the fun shooter. You can enjoy also the natures the quiet, peaceful part of Schongiland.

8 Kilometers Long Toboggan Run

When we say Switzerland, it has called the mountainous countries in Europe owned beautiful Alps. The country famous for steep gorges and for jagged peaks and it is popular for mountains cross county skiing.

Last Sunday it was beautiful day, trailed and adventured day. My husband, Baby Cedric and I went to Zweisimmen a village in Switzerland located in Bernese Orberland and surrounded by beautiful alpine. A getaway to the world famous Gstaad-Sannenland region, the place has own name snow paradise “ski paradise area” in Sannenland region.

We thought we went up to the Rinderberg to snow sledge but it is not possible because the area was just for skiers. Oh thanks God! before 2:00 PM we know where to go for toboggan run/snow sledge, it is Sparenmoos within 7 kilometer just toboggan run, oh yay I felt trailed and we had adventure yesterday. We went to the mountain Sparenmoos to start toboggan with the bus ride baby, my husband and I enjoyed the breathtaking views looking to the amazing mountains while riding the bus. We arrived at Sparenmoos with the bus just 30 minutes in Sparenmoos. At Sparenmoos it has restaurant. At Sparenmoos station and were went down the mountains with toboggan run, it was fun, together with many people also enjoying toboggan run within 8 kilometres long going down from the mountains that leads down to the Zweisimmen village. It was fun and adventure day we had.

Ice Palace In Schwarzee

My husband and I planning to visit again Ice palace in Schwarzsee. We have been there last 2005 now we want to visit again but we wanted to visit at the night because look wonderful, attractive and look romantic at night because of the colourful light. I am so excited to visit again to this ice palace. The ice palace is only built in winter season when is freezing weather. Visitors of ice palace walk through an illuminated ice palace. The ice palace located in west of Bern and about 50 (31.07 miles) kilometers from the city of Bern.

In Schwarzsee, there are lot of activities to do during winter season walk in rackets, ski, walk sledge, toboggan and bob.

Having Fun Snow Sledging On Gurten Hill

My husband and I are so much fond of snow sledge. Before Christmas (December 23), I urged him to go to the Gurten hill and to go sledding as we bought snow sledge last Sunday (December 21) so I thought it’s great to go snow sledge because it’s also holiday time and no work.
It was first time of baby Cedric rode on snow sledge, he was wondering and looks so funny when he rode the snow sledge but he loved to ride on snow sledge with me and sometimes to his Dad.

To go up to the Gurten Hill it has Gurtenbahn to ride just 10sf per person vice versa and possible to walk within 30 minutes there are walking path so there is no problem if you were lost. There is also restaurant self-service and hotel. There is also a tower the view point of the place where you can see the breathtaking view of Bern, Bernese Oberland and the beautiful Alps, it is said that this place it is the impression of Bern the

On Gurten Hill on wintertime when have enough snow, it has ski learning (school) just good for children.

The 7 Wonders Of Nature

My sister has been Puerto Princessa Subterranean River with her man last 2006 vacation. Her man said the Subterranean River it is amazing and great nature. My husband and I planning to have vacation in Philippines next year and we have plan to visit this interesting attraction of Palawan.

Winter Holiday

It’s holiday and cold season. It is time to go to holiday and enjoy winter sports. As we, all know that winter sports are lots of fun. With snow, there are many things to do there are lot sports like ski, snowboarding, snow sledging/ sledding, skating etc. just for winter sports.

In Switzerland there are places offers all year round skiing, snowboarding that located in highest mountain such as Zermat in the month of glacier in summer time. The Zermatt known for best ski resorts of Switzerland. In Zermatt where we can find the most beautiful mountain of the world called Matterhorn.

In wintertime, there are many skiers, snow borders and sliders having holiday and enjoy the winter sports.

Oppss sorry I am not a skier but I love sledding. Sooner my husband and I with our son Cedric we are going to snow sledding. I am so excited and cannot wait to do sledding again since it has been awhile that we have not been on the mountain doing sledding.

Paris By Night

I like Paris. Many people say Paris is the most romantic city in the world. I’ve been in Paris past few years ago and went up to the top floor of Eiffel tower. At the top floor, it has beautiful and breathtaking views of Paris. Have you been in Paris? Maybe you would like the little preview about the latest of Eiffel tower.

Yesterday on the 14th of December, the Eiffel Tower lighted up in the blue colours of the European Union as like the color of European flag for French Eu Presidency.

I found it is very nice color, I think very attractive of the tourist people and Parisians people, isn’t it?

This is the place when my husband and I sometimes have nothing to do during weekends before the weekdays come to do hard work. We just stroll here sitting on the bank in the park and roam around having refreshment of the day. The Castle Shadau it has cozy restaurant where we have something to eat. The foods is great and of course mixing with the scenic views of the alpine that makes you love to stay more and more in restaurant. I love the place is very romantic and peaceful and it has gastronomic museum inside of the castle offers a glimpse to the culture of eating and drinking.

Castle Schadau is the beautiful castle in Thun on the lakeshore and with the amazing alpine views. The Castle Schadau located at the south of Thun 10 minutes from the railway station.

So when you have plan to go in Thun don’t miss to visit Schadau castle… I can say that the romantic castle that I’ve ever visited.

Lucerne and The Swiss Transport Museum

Lucerne in German is Luzern. This city is an hour from Berne where we live. There are things to do in this central City of Switzerland and many attractions lake cruises and beautiful mountain views that you have enjoy vacation or stay in this city. The Luzern city is one of the most populated tourist cities in Europe. When you visit this city don’t miss to visit Picasso Museum, Rosengart Collection and the Swiss transport museum which is the one of largest technical museum in Europe: railways, automobiles, aircraft, spacecraft, ships, telecommunication, planetarium
IMAX movie theatre which I’ve been few years from now. The Swiss transport museum very interesting museum that I‘ve ever been. I wish I could visit again in this museum to explore and discover more things that are interesting and so on that I have never seen in my life.

The Frozen Lake

The pictures below of Oeschinensee (lake Oeschinen) the frozen Lake in winter season. This is look like this when the winter is so freaking cold and below to zero degrees Celsius. It is possible to walk on the lake but must be careful it is dangerous.

A charming Oeschinensee welcome you, enjoy the beautiful God’s creation, enjoy the beautiful nature a around the deep blue lake with the amazing breathtaking alpine views During summer time, people go here do swimming, picnic, boating and the place to relax.

You can reach to the Oeschinensee with chairlift from Kandersteg and there are pathway if want to hike within 30 minutes to walk.

Next time I want to visit this place in the summer season as we visited over last few years ago was freaking cold and snowy.

Visiting Geneve

It was chilling day, not too nice weather but we never let the day without to spend our time roam around the city of Geneve Switzerland after we brought my mom to the Airport Geneve back to Philippines.

The lake and it's tallest fountain in the world a Jet d'Eau, a must visit and central attraction of the City 460 feet (140m) into the air at a speed of 124 miles per hour (200km/h) and pumping 132 gallons (500 litres) of water per second.

Geneve owns the largest lake in central of Europe ¾ from Geneve Switzerland and ¼ from France.

In Geneve there are lot of museum to visit and attractions and many activities.

Looking Forward

It is beautiful to be back again in Saas-Fee in Valais Switzerland. As you will know, Saas-fee is the one old village in the highest mountain in Valais it has beautiful old time wooden houses, narrow roads, hotels, restaurant and bars. There are many attractions that you can enjoy your stay in Saas-fee visiting the one of the highest peaks and looking the huge glaciers and also winter sports for skier, snow borders and snow sledging.

Remembering happenings past few years during summer time my husband and I just having fun in the village riding the Feeblitz (sledge track) and roam around the village therefore if I have chance to visit again in Saas-fee I wanted to stay more longer in this beautiful village and enjoy the time. What I wanted to visit in this place is to visit in the huge Ice cave at about 3 300 meters elevation and ride the metro alpine that is the highest underground funicular in the world. I am looking forward to visit again in there....

Spot In Bern

Oh yah I forgot to post some travel pictures here in my travel journal. It’s been awhile since I posted some travel photos.
This is what I want to share you, if you we’re not already have been in Bern City, Switzerland. Let me tour you in this beautiful spot in Bern.

Bern is the capital city of Switzerland. When you say Bern is the glorious medieval town is the one of World Heritage Sites UNESCO in 1983.

This is the old steam tram in Bern from 1894. This is still operates nowadays every weekends between April to October. This is runs along the cobbled streets along the famous spot. You pass the most great tourist spot destinations in Bern from trains station to the Burgenziel or Guisanplatz, the zytlogge tower (clock tower) the medieval Münster (the cathedral) the Aare river and the House Of Parliament.

Here is the view from the Nydegbrücke (Bridge) from the old city vice versa Baerengraben (Bärengraben) where peope can find the brown Bear. Pictures showing the Untertorbrücke (bridge).

The House And Square Of Parliament Of Swiss

This is the house and square of parliament of Swiss. House of parliament is the seat of Swiss government and the swiss government is the federal council in Berne. The fountains was inaugurated on 31 July and 1 August 1 2004 the Swiss national day. The 26 fountains symbolises the cantons in Switzerland. The fountains are the most attractive in the city. When the weather is hot, there are lot of people, kids and adult having fun to play with the 26 dancing water fountains that is the most popular water playground of the kids in the city of Berne.

One Of The Biggest Marine Park Of The World

Oh yeah it is nice to remember back our days when we were in South of France few years ago we’ve visited Marineland Park near Antibes-Juan Les Pins is an animal exhibition park in Antibes, South of France. This is the one biggest of the world Marine Park. They have fantastic animal shows including Killer Whale show, Dolphins show and meeting with Dolphins that my husband and I enjoy the amazing shows. I was with meeting dolphins show; I have learned the biology and ecology of dolphins, before approaching the dolphins for 20mn under close supervision by trainers on a sunken deck. It was fun, great experienced, and a lot to know about the Dolphins but it was expensive though… yeah it was expensive. It has also aquarium where visitors can walk through 30-meter glass tunnel surrounded by sharks and exotic fish swimming around you as you walk through a glass tunnel, which is the one biggest in Europe.

Ride Oldest Steam Cog Railway To Rothorn

Sunday it was sunny day cool weather. My family with my mom went to Brienzer Rothorn mount at the 2,350-metre summit one of the romantic place in the Bernese Oberland offers fantastic views vast panorama. The Alps central of Switzerland, Titlis, Pilatus, the peaks of Bernese Oberland Alps, the lakes and top mountains Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau, Jura mount all can be seen on clearly day from Rothorn.

To reach the Rothorn mount we rode the oldest steam cog railway, it was almost 1 hour up to mount Rothorn riding this kind of cog railway but it was fun, thrill ride and great experienced riding cog railway climbed to the Rothorn mount (2244m) with hissing, puffing, huffing since 1892. Offers lots of hiking trails. The 1,678 meters of altitude differential and 25% gradient without getting short of breath! Six tunnels and and two galleries make for a thrilling change during the ride.

Though the thrill ride with cog railway passing on those steep way is also rewarding at the Rothorn mount has great views spectacular mountains beautiful romantic scenic views.
